Pre-Treatment Instructions

BOTOX® and FILLERS (JUVEDERM, RESTYLANE)

  • 1 week prior to treatment avoid blood thinners including aspirin, high dose vitamin E, St. John’s Wort, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen and high dose fish oils. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
  • If you are prone to cold sores, notify Dr. Pickens. There is medication she can prescribe to minimize or avoid outbreaks.
  • Do not schedule activities involving excessive sun exposure or physical exertion for the hours following your treatment.
  • If receiving fillers it is best to apply ice immediately afterwards intermittently for the next few hours.
Triniti Skin Rejuvenation

• Avoid tanning the area to be treated or use complete sun block (>SPF 30), applied 2-3 times a day for at least 3 weeks prior to treatment.  Deeply tanned skin should be treated 4-6 weeks after active sun exposure.
• Avoid taking anticoagulants for 10 days before treatment, if medical condition allows.
• Moisturize the skin of the area to be treated a day before tereament.
• Discontinue any irritant topical agents for 2-3 days prior to treatment.
• Arrive to treatment with clean skin. There should be no lotion, make-up, perfume, powder, bath/shower oil present on the skin in the area to be treated.
• Remove jewelry from area close to area to be treated.
• If having hair removal, you must shave the area first to avoid a shaving fee prior to treatment.
